I'm normally disappointed by books I love being made into movies but I'll definitely look into this one with your recommendation!Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04585816729964741872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3989837755018110330.post-45781563969524851072015-08-17T17:22:38.805+04:002015-08-17T17:22:38.805+04:00Harper Lee that's for me one of the best books...Harper Lee that's for me one of the best books ever written. "There is only one type of folks: Folks." It's engraved in my memory forever. Watch the movie with Gregory Peck, it's a classic and equally great. Your lack of reading is completely excused. I have had Cutting for Stone on my Kindle for years. I started it a long time ago but struggled to get into it and moved on to something else. So many rave about it so I should really start again. Let me know what you think of it.Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04585816729964741872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3989837755018110330.post-91530322581588632392015-08-14T20:48:13.760+04:002015-08-14T20:48:13.760+04:00Jay I love your taste in books and love these post...Jay I love your taste in books and love these posts. I have utterly failed to read this summer. Not even one book. It is shameful. I started Cutting for Stone recently. This makes me want to get back into it! It was definitely on our lists, but always in a choice section and I just never chose it. I finally read it just after college.
I'm so glad you loved Unabrow! Her writing is just so clever to me- the perfect combination of humor and self-observation.
I just finished The Ambassador's Wife, as I told you on Twitter- SO good. And I've got The Red Queen on audiobook- it's a bit derivative, but enjoyable so far. (Although I've never read Red Rising, which seems to draw the most comparison.) (cue the tears) Of all of these, I think I would like to start My Salinger Year and the new Paula McLain one (also loved Paris Wife!) I finally got around to finishing All the Light We Cannot See a couple weeks ago and it was such a good one! Honestly, not the book I would've planned to read poolside in Greece but it just worked out like that, and was a great read :)Cynthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11446312405129969191noreply@blogger.com
