I had a hard enough time at 51.1°N and I don't know if I could handle the darkness of your winter, but all that light - it would make it worth it, wouldn't it? You sort of understand how they came up with the ancient gods given all that darkness and then the light.Betsy Transatlanticallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04953626122327472245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3989837755018110330.post-22442165847234622542013-07-12T13:02:41.325+04:002013-07-12T13:02:41.325+04:00Thank you Cynthia! I didn't have any mood disorder from the short days, but I did get frustrated trying to cram work + walking my dogs + running any errands into the limited daylight, since shops often closed earlier in the winter as well. Paul often was the same as Joe, not seeing daylight for days at a time.
But the long days... I remember we'd take the dogs out for a walk at 10PM and it'd be so beautiful! And the way the light changed throughout the day was its own show, really. The few times I caught summer sunrises (usually from being up that late, not getting up that early!) I was just transfixed.
Keep sharing pictures! I love them!Gescihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09543798912886827648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3989837755018110330.post-70429946733203392362013-07-09T20:37:47.118+04:002013-07-09T20:37:47.118+04:00Oh my...your early morning shot of the water is ju...Oh my...your early morning shot of the water is just stunning! Fortunately, here in Texas during the summer, the sun doesn't go down all the way until almost 9pm and rises at 6:30am, so that's pretty good. :)Bailey K. | Travel Healshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14770506419098591862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3989837755018110330.post-15951114031046442902013-07-08T19:26:50.484+04:002013-07-08T19:26:50.484+04:00so beautiful!so beautiful!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3989837755018110330.post-58389796283745547212013-07-08T18:36:22.109+04:002013-07-08T18:36:22.109+04:00incredible! when I was blown away by all the sunli...incredible! when I was blown away by all the sunlight we got pass 9:30.
